Identity theft!
No one wants to hear those words. Yet it is something that millions of people worldwide experience every year.
However, there is something just as bad as another person stealing your identity and damaging your credit score…
It’s allowing the devil to steal your identity as a believer!
Many Christians, being ignorant of their new identity in Christ, either live their lives out of their old identity before they were saved or adopt the identity of another Christian – creating a religious form of cookie-cutter Christianity.
No thanks!
God created you to be a perfect YOU! Now that you are born again, He wants you to live out of your true identity – the way you were created by God to live! Jesus came to help each one of us achieve our greatest potential. This is only possible to the degree that we put away our past, stop trying to be someone else and learn what it means to live in Christ while Christ lives in us.
The Book of Colossians was written by Paul – probably in prison. We have no record of him ever traveling to the city of Colossae but we know that there was a group of believers living there.
Where did they come from?
What were their issues?
Why did Paul write this letter?
What does any of this have to do with you and me?
These and other questions will be answered as we journey together for the next 10 weeks through these ancient writings in order to DISCOVER YOUR TRUE IDENTITY!
