The Fifth Element of Faith is Optimism. There is nothing like Faith in God that will change your perspective on life and make you a more optimistic person. Romans 8:28 says “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” This verse alone teaches us that God is control of the circumstances of your life and if you learn the lessons of optimism, you can make the best of them. No matter what it looks like, you can believe that He has your best interests at heart!
But it’s not easy!
That’s why I am taking time to teach this lesson. Optimism for some people comes naturally but for most of us, it’s a learned behavior. You must exercise faith to be an optimistic person. Let’s face it, some situations in life are so horrific and painful that it’s not easy to overcome the feelings of anger, regret, depression and even revenge. But these emotions will destroy you!
Instead, we must learn to develop the ability to see the hand of God in every circumstance and listen to that still small voice of wisdom that helps navigate us through challenging and often confusing times of life. Helen Keller once said, “Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement.” I like that quote and this one from Harry Truman, “A pessimist is one who makes difficulties of his opportunities and an optimist is one who makes opportunities of his difficulties.” These are great quotes that describe a lifestyle that you can attain!
In this lesson I will give you 10 Ways that YOU can Become a More Optimistic Person. It’s possible to see that glass half full! There is a silver lining in every cloud and a beautiful rainbow if you look hard enough. I hope this lesson helps you do just that!
