Even Jesus Needed Friends
Even Jesus Needed friends! He shared three significant events in His life with Peter, James and John. He took that trio with Him when he raised a girl from the dead, when He met with Moses and Elijah on the Mount of Transfiguration and when He prayed with agony in the Garden of Gethsemane. In other words, Jesus needed friends in His good times, His significant times and in His hard times!
If Jesus needed friends, don’t you think we need friends, too?
Same Keen said, “We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.” An old Swedish proverb says, “Shared joy is a double joy; shared sorrow is half a sorrow.” And perhaps Robert Brault said it best when he said, “When something is missing in your life, it usually turns out to be someone.” Jesus demonstrated this truth when He included Peter, James and John in some of the most significant events of His life.
